Responsibilities

  • Working with the Product Development Lead in translating designs from initial concept through to finished product.
  • Act as a technical partner for design, brainstorming ideas and solutions to ensure the design vision is translated into useable product.
  • Manage the critical path from concept to production with design and manufacturers, ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
  • Working closely with manufacturers to negotiate and calculate costs for prototypes, samples and production runs.
  • Develop strong relationships with partners across the world.
  • Ensure that products meet relevant regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Materials knowledge across a wide range of homewares products.
  • Solid technical understanding of Lighting manufacture and ideally specific experience in engineering of internal Hardware.
  • Good understanding of high quality materials and manufacturing processes for Lighting and Hardware categories.  
  • Understanding of the legal requirements for materials and testing standards for UKCA / CE. 
  • An eagerness to become an integral part of the company's production team with a results orientated drive to push this fast growing company forward.  
  • In depth knowledge of homewares market and products in relevant category – knowledge of trends, the market, the luxury consumer and peer awareness
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite,
  • Ability to effectively communicate visually and verbally in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to travel to suppliers worldwide as/when required
  • 2 years’ experience minimum in a similar role
